Brew

Say hi to my new friend who keeps me warm, happy and caffeinated on my way to work everyday. There are many children and colleagues out there who should thank this handsome guy for keeping cranky-pants-morning-Sarah at bay. You really don’t wanna see that.

KeepCup has recently introduced their latest series, Brew, featuring glass coffee cups coupled with their signature customisable coloured bands and lids. So you can’t fling this one around as much as their plastic cousins but they feel and look so good. Throw in the limited edition cork band and I’m in hipster heaven. But at the end of the day, the message is the same and still rings true. Sustainability underpinned by practicality and an awesome aesthetic.

Get your own here. Fancy the limited edition cork band? Snap it up here.

Pastel power

pink-blue-9Wearing – Zara top (similar), C&M by Camilla & Marc jeans, Repetto shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag, J. Crew earrings (similar)

There was a night a few weeks ago when nature decided to cruelly taunt me with a hint of chilliness in the air. I was like, “Right! Time to crack out the winter wardrobe!”. Well, with temperatures still tipping 30 degrees Celsius these days it feels like my impulse-buy Sessun coat will have to languish just a tad longer. Listen to me, complaining about good weather! Definitely means I live in Perth!

At least there was this one night where I got to pull out this cuteypie pink top…But it won’t be long now!

Hi there, Horatio! – Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar-16Wearing – Zara jumper (similar), ASOS overalls, Happy Socks (try these colours), Madewell boots

He’s wearing – J. Crew shirt, TopMan blazer, Urban Outfitters jeans and socks, Pointer shoes via Kaeho, Ona camera bag

First things first, why is no one called Horatio these days? It’s one of those cool old-school names which has sadly fallen from popularity, like Chauncey, Mabel, and Hattie…But I digress! (I may have read a few too many Enid Blyton books as a child…Omg, there’s another amazing name, Enid!)

We hadn’t done a whole lot of touristy stuff in London even though we’d already been there a few days, so we thought we’d take ourselves on our own little whirlwind tour of the sights – Trafalgar Square was our first stop, then Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, and then I joined Jinn (read: got dragged along) on an Arsenal Emirates Stadium for a tour with Charlie George, an ex-player and legend of the soccer team. Do I sound like I know what I’m talking about? It’s because I’ve been brainwashed/educated by Jinn who is an absolute diehard Arsenal fan. Last time we were in London we went to an Arsenal match and I actually thought we were going to die when tempers and overly passionate team-patriotism boiled over at the game. So at least this time round my life wasn’t endangered in the name of soccer!

It was actually a pretty freezing day for an on-foot tour as you might be able to tell from my less than discrete turtleneck. I absolutely love playsuits so I decided to try out their cold weather cousins, overalls! And amongst all the cute spring dresses all the London stores were selling (Spring??? You call this Spring??? Madness…) I found this gorgeous Zara jumper which begged to be worn with my newly acquired overalls. Jinn looked pretty dapper himself I must say!Trafalgar-5 Trafalgar-4Trafalgar-3Trafalgar-23Trafalgar-8Trafalgar-6 Trafalgar-7Trafalgar-13Trafalgar-9Trafalgar-1-5 Trafalgar-10Trafalgar-1-7Trafalgar-12Trafalgar-11Trafalgar-1-6Trafalgar-14Trafalgar-1-2Trafalgar-1-4 Trafalgar-20 Trafalgar-21

Feeling feline…

feline-outfit-1I put this outfit together, really just trying to wear as many lightweight, breezy fabrics as possible given the hot weather of late. I then realised I was pretty much fully laden with cat-themed paraphernalia – the top has tiny jaguar head studs and the Zara pants have leopards printed all over them. Even my subconscious mind betrays me – this once cat-avoider is now a cat-lover, from head to toe…Literally!

Just a wee shout out to The Bunny, the local creative behind this gorgeous studded top and the neon necklace. They will be holding a stall at the upcoming Laneway Night Markets to be held in Northbridge on Saturday January 27th and Sunday January 28th from 4pm to 10pm, so be sure to check them out!

Tiny mementoes from NYC

I bought these wee bracelets from Helene Pe at Artists & Fleas in Brooklyn as a teeny tiny way to remember our amazing time in New York. Helene is a French artist and jewellery designer whose quirkiness and eye for detail make her works both punchy but irresistibly delicate at the same time.

Visit her homepage and tempt yourself by visiting her online shop!

***What I’m wearing – black button-down tank by Ecote (similar), cat print trousers with gold zip detail (can’t find anything quite like it but these and these are pretty cool!), bracelets by Helene Pe, sunglasses by Robert Marc, shoes are a $5 find from the Ladies’ Market in Hong Kong (these are cute!)

***What Schnooks is wearing – fur model’s own (similar here and here)

***We do not condone the wearing of fur unless you are naturally blessed! (i.e. furry animals and Greek men)
